With deep affection for all my PM friends.
Ask a PM: How many engineers does it take to change a lightbulb?
PM: None. I already spun up a multi-agent workflow: one agent handles torque, one checks wattage, and one monitors the filament. It’s essentially self-healing infrastructure at this point that runs completely in the browser.
PM: One. I spun up a prototype where the bulb is already on. Since the UI works, engineering just needs to wire up all the physics in the morning.
PM: A quarter of one. The prompt literally says: As an experienced electrician, change the lightbulb safely without tripping the breaker. Why is the team claiming we have to think about exceptions?
PM: Fractional. My simulation in Cowork says 10 seconds to climb the ladder, 5 seconds to twist, 10 seconds to climb down. Let’s call it 30 seconds total so engineering has plenty of buffer.
PM: Half of one. Look, we’re not hand-crafting glass anymore. I’m just going to throw the 40-foot ceiling and custom 480-volt voltage requirements into a prompt and let AI generate the infra for you.
